Formed during the pandemic, Terms began remote band whose angular, instrumental forays into the unknown have only become sharper now that they can play together in real life.

Comprised of guitarist Christopher Trull (YOWIE / GRAND ULENA) and drummer Danny Piechocki (AHLEUCHATISTAS / JITTERS), the duo’s second album, All Becomes Indistinct, “expands and refines our musical concepts,” as Trull puts it.

These 14 new compositions indeed showcase the rapidly developing sonic kinship between the two players that will appeal to fans of Mr. Bungle, King Crimson and Mike Watt alike, pushing the limits of math rock in ways it hasn’t been in this second decade of the 21st century.

Rock & Roll Globe is proud to premiere the imaginative video for one of the best tracks from All Becomes Indistinct, the terse, intense “Blurred Photo Of A Fragment Of A Drawing,” which according to Trull was conceived in a most unconventional way.

“‘Blurred Photo of a Fragment of a Drawing’ started out as a bit of a musical exercise: generating meter lengths with a 20-sided die,” he explains. “I rolled the dice (literally) to determine how many beats would be in each measure. Then, I wrote different parts for each number that came up, and if a number that I had rolled previously was rolled again, then that part would repeat. As this process continued, it occurred to me to continue until the number of the very first part was rolled a second time, so the piece would end the way it began.”

The duo will be test driving the new material at a pair of shows in celebration of the new album on December 1st and 2nd.

“We’re very excited to play in St. Louis and Chicago for our very belated record-release celebration weekend,” Trull proclaims. “Better late than never!”
