Oklahoma house rockers Beau Jennings & The Tigers are back with their third album, American Stories Major Chords.

Following in the lineage of Bruce Springsteen and John Mellencamp, Jennings looks outward for his lyrics like an author or journalist.

“These songs are stories” says Jennings. “They’re not about me, although some elements of my life are in most songs I write.”

One such song is “Rubberburn,” the video of which Rock & Roll Globe is honored to premiere tonight.

“Rubberburn was an all-girl punk band from back in the day here in Norman, I just barely missed their brief run,” Jennings explains. “I’d always heard about ’em but never actually got to see ’em play. This song is kind of a nod, kind of a salute to them. Oh yeah and my wife was in the band.”

Make sure you seek out American Stories Major Chords if you have a hankering for some good old working class rock performed by a versatile and soulful  band.

“The songs keep coming to me, and the band is there to play them, and so I think the future for us is wide open” says Jennings. “With each record I think we’ve found another angle of our sound, found a new way to be in a band especially in this day and age. This is our 3rd record in 5 years, and in many ways, it feels like we’re just getting started. I think it’d be accurate to say we’re really just trying to document the time and place we live in via our favorite medium, a rock n roll record.”
