Posthumous Justin Townes Earle Album Announced
ALL IN: Unreleased & Rarities (The New West Years) due out August 9th

A new compilation celebrating the final years of Justin Townes Earle will be released on August 9th by our friends at New West Records.
Entitled ALL IN: Unreleased & Rarities (The New West Years), the 19-track double LP features 12 previously unreleased recordings and six never-before-heard songs written and recorded during Justin’s final years. A deluxe edition includes a 52-page hardbound book featuring unpublished images by the acclaimed photographer Joshua Black Wilkins. Also included are liner notes written by Justin’s wife Jenn Marie Earle and new reminiscences by Black Wilkins and ALL IN co-producers Adam Bednarik and Kim Buie.
The late son of alt-country icon Steve Earle, Justin left us on August 20, 2020 at just 38 years old. But before he departed this mortal coil, the singer-songwriter delivered 8 albums in a little over a decade. But it was his last two albums on New West, 2017’s Kids in the Street and 2019’s The Saint of Lost Causes, that proved to be his best work. And ALL IN concentrates on this unfinished period of his truncated career with demo versions of key tracks from both LPs along with a live version of the Kids in the Street opening cut “Champagne Corolla” taken from a performance on his dad’s Hardcore Troubadour Radio Show on SiriusXM.
There’s also a cache of covers that highlight Earle’s aptitude as a master song interpreter with stunning covers of Bruce Springsteen’s “Glory Days,” Ike Turner’s “Rocket 88,” Paul Simon’s “Graceland,” John Prine’s “Far From Me,” Mance Lipscomb’s “So Different Blues” and Fleetwood Mac’s “Dreams,” which can be heard below in a video featuring archived footage of JTE.

Adam Bednarik, who was Justin’s longtime friend, collaborator and producer, says, “I witnessed firsthand Justin’s ability to captivate an audience while performing onstage night after night and to capture a first take in the studio. That will forever remain awe-inspiring to me. He is one of the best artists—if not the best—that I have ever had the privilege of working with. I will always be grateful for our friendship and the music we created together.”
“Justin wanted to be known for his writing. He began two books that all of us wish he’d had the time to finish,” adds Earle’s wife Jenn Marie. “What we are left with is nothing short of extraordinary. He took his time, he poured his pain and heart into his writing, into his human experience. Justin left a mark on many thousands of people worldwide. We will forever be able to delve into and learn so much from what he created, how he held himself in this world, how he soared, and how he fell. There are so many deeply profound aspects of Justin Townes Earle for his loved ones and fans alike to embrace for all time.”
ALL IN: Unreleased & Rarities (The New West Years) will be available across digital platforms, compact disc and standard black vinyl. A deluxe edition will be packaged in a rigid slipcase alongside a 52-page hardbound book.
