P.E.E. Kick Off North American Tour
Reissue of ‘Now, More Charm and More Tender’ out now

Legendary San Francisco grind pop greats P.E.E. have kicked off their first North American tour in 30 years tonight in Chicago at Logan Square Auditorium.
They’re on the road in support of the reissue of their seminal 1996 LP Now, More Charm and More Tender, which was released in February on GIZZMOIX RECORDS and immediately sold out its first pressing. Also released in May was the vinyl reissue of the band’s pre-debut recordings, i win me over., was released May 29, 2026 on Deathbomb Arc in the U.S.
“In the ’90s we had some fans and many great shows,” remarks Jim Stanley, guitarist and vocalist for the band, “Though what we’ve been experiencing now with people knowing P.E.E.’s music and even singing along sometimes has been totally unexpected and gratifying. By comparison, for our 2010 reunion, I was giving away the last boxes of our LPs for free just so I’d stop carrying them around. It’s been a real surprise to come back and find that people found our music on their own, and that we’ve got a new generation of fans, and a cohort of both new bands and other re-formed bands to share the stage with all tour. This is our first time back in the Midwest and East Coast since 1998, and getting to play these songs together for new people and longtime fans is something I’m grateful for every night.”

Originally formed in 1993, P.E.E. (sometimes stylized as Pee and short for Potentially Egregious Error) broke out of San Francisco to quickly become fixtures of the Bay Area underground scene, where the quartet of guitarists/vocalists Stanley and Kelly Green, bassist Tiber Scheer and drummer Andee Connors became local SF favorites, sharing the stage with the likes of Boys Life, Jimmy Eat World, Drive Like Jehu, Three Mile Pilot, Heavy Vegetable, Track Star and Neutral Milk Hotel.
According to Connors, the group is very much looking forward to hitting the road.
“Touring was such a big part of my life back in the day, with both my bands in the nineties, and it was such a crucial and integral part of how we approached P.E.E.,” he tells Rock & Roll Globe. “With it being mostly pre-internet and pre-cellphone, touring and traveling was just kind of how we did music. It was how we connected with kids, met new friends, found new fans, stayed in touch with other bands and old friends. It was all about the road. So it’s super exciting to be doing it again, and getting another chance to play THIS music and share it with a whole new generation. And I love the idea of this new wave of P.E.E. fans and kids discovering music, especially LIVE music, and our old school approach to being in a band kind of meeting in the middle and becoming something new and special. Since it’s still kind of the anniversary of our first record, we’ll of course be playing as much as we can from that record (Now, More Charm and More Tender), with a handful from record number two (The Roaring Mechanism — which is about to be reissued as well). We have a few oddball songs, that we rarely played live, just in case someone asks, and we have a little bit of new music which we might debut depending on how brave and confident we’re feeling ; ) But really, there’s just something purely joyous about playing this music, and doing it with these people, and meeting all these amazing folks, many of whom have already reached out to let us know how much P.E.E has meant to them. We’re really excited and just feel so lucky to be taking these P.E.E. songs on the road again!”

“Super excited about hitting the road with some of the best people to sit in a van for hours on end,” adds Scheer. “Touring has always been my favorite aspect of being in a band. Looking forward to making new memories with the P.E.E. fam, hanging out with the bands we’re heading out with and sharing the stoke chatting with fans/new friends.”
