Over 57 years after emerging from Blackpool, Lancashire in England, Jethro Tull are back in 2025 with their 24th studio album, Curious Ruminant.

The LP, which comes out on March 7th, will be comprised of nine new songs that vary in length from two-and-a-half minutes to 17 minutes with full band arrangements. Joining founding member and frontman Ian Anderson this time out include former keyboardist Andrew Giddings and drummer James Duncan, along with the current group members David Goodier, John O’Hara, Scott Hammond and, making his recording debut with the band, guitarist Jack Clark.

According to the press release announcing the new album, some of the material on Curious Ruminant have been developed from unfinished instrumental demos put together years ago. And addition to Anderson’s signature flute work, instruments like accordion, mandolin, acoustic and tenor guitars feature on several tracks, so the subtle backdrop of acoustic and folk rock serves to remind of the Tull heritage of the 70s.
