Happy Birthday Neil Young

Amidst losing his home in the tragic wildfires near Malibu, the Canadian rock icon remains as durable and defiant as ever

Neil Young in 1976

Neil Percival Young turned 73 today. Our hearts go out to him over the loss of his home near Malibu to the deadly wildfires that have engulfed many historical parts of the great state of California.

“California is vulnerable – not because of poor forest management as DT (our so-called president) would have us think. As a matter of fact this is not a forest fire that rages on as I write this,” Young wrote on his Archives site. “We are vulnerable because of Climate Change; the extreme weather events and our extended drought is part of it.”

There are few artists in rock who have the ability to reach on and physically touch our souls the way Neil has in these last 50 years. Love and PMA extended to him and his family. May your heart stay forever gold.

Say a prayer for old Uncle Neil tonight.
