LISTEN: Florida’s Set It Off Face Their Fears With “Who’s In Control”
The celebrated pop-punk trio’s new album Elsewhere is due March 11th

The Florida men who comprise the pop-punk trio Set It Off continue to evolve significantly from their emo beginnings with “Who’s In Control,” the new single off their forthcoming LP Elsewhere.
Available everywhere on Friday, March 11th, Elsewhere finds singer/lyricist Cody Carson, guitarist Zach DeWall and drummer Maxx Danziger delving deeper into their collective affinity for the future sounds of Anderson .Paak and The Weeknd.

And “Who’s In Control”–the third single off Elsewhere–is a key example of this trio’s tremendous growth as a promising American pop group as they shed the Simple Plan-hawking maneuvers in favor of a more distinctive style unique to their brand.
Lyrically, An unsettling shrill shocks listeners in the opening seconds, leaving them on edge as they’re hit with a suspenseful Pop-Punk sound and lyrics of being poisoned by negativity. A feeling that the band knows all too well, singer/lyricist Cody Carson relays his thoughts about negativity getting the best of him.
“Everyone loves feeling like they have control over their own life, their own decisions, or their overall destiny,” he explains. “But sometimes outside voices scream so loud at you that they shake you up and make you adjust your path.”

Set It Off will be hitting the road opening for Simple Plan and Sum 41 on their Blame Canada tour this spring.
