NEWS: 4AD Announces Definitive Edition of Gene Clark Solo Classic

All the dirty details you need about the No Other box set, due out November 8

The No Other box set

The title certainly says it all. When it comes to who was arguably the most crucial solo artist to emerge from The Byrds, there is No Other than Gene Clark.

This November 8th, 4AD Records will be reissuing the 1974 masterwork from this American original on the eve of his 75th birthday, remastered at Abbey Road for the first time in 5.1 surround sound and mixed by Sid Griffin of The Long Ryders and renowned producer John Wood, whose credits include such classic albums as Nick Drake’s Five Leaves Left, Sandy Denny’s Sandy, Richard & Linda Thompson’s Pour Down Like Silver and I Want To See The Bright Lights Tonight and Squeeze’s Cool for Cats plus Argybargy (not to mention John Cale’s Slow Dazzle).

Make sure you pre-order the super deluxe edition early, because you don’t want to miss out. It’s a beautiful Silver Boxset containing No Other LP (Pressed on Silver Vinyl with poster), exclusive 7”, three SACDs, Blu-ray plus an 80 page hardbound book. And all boxset orders from the 4AD store include two exclusive bonus flexi 7”s.
