“Shred pop” is what the music of Stargazy Pie has been called.

Seems fitting for the exciting and energetic sound that emerges from this quartet of Pacific Northwest youngbloods, who bring a sonic vitamin shot to modern rock with a vibrant pop-punk sound that owes as much to Jawbreaker as it does 5 Seconds of Summer.

Since forming as teens in 2019, the band has released two full-length albums — 2021’s Butterfly Hand Grenade and 2024’s Pacific Northwestitis — and are said to be working on material for a third album in the near future.

Rock & Roll Globe is lucky enough to capture a little of this lightning in a bottle with the premiere of their latest single “Defeatist.”

“Defeatist is one of our absolute favorite songs to play live,” proclaims 23-year-old frontman Jack Stoker. “It gives our set a fun pop energy and the crowd gets really into it!”
