New Book Delves Deep into Record Collecting
Dust & Grooves Volume 2 out today

If you’re like me and make a weekly trip to your local record store to dig for gems and jewels, there’s a new book coming out today that’s right up your alley.
When photographer and publisher Eilon Paz released Dust & Grooves Volume 1 in 2014, he captured the resurgence of vinyl collecting as it was on the verge of becoming a worldwide phenomenon that continues to thrive to this very day.
A decade later, Paz returns with Dust & Grooves Volume 2: Further Adventures in Record Collecting delves even deeper into the culture that thrives around vinyl collecting and the community that surrounds it.
With a foreword by legendary producer Prince Paul (De La Soul) and contributions from a host of distinguished music writers, collectors and musicians, the 650-page Further Adventures takes readers on a global journey—from jazz kissa in Japan to the vibrant music scenes of Brazil. Featuring over 150 record collectors, with stunning photography and in-depth interviews, this book goes beyond the records to explore the lives and passions of those who collect them, offering a window into the worlds of artists like A-Trak, DāM FunK, Kid Koala, Mayer Hawthorne, Ron Carter and many more. In an age where streaming dominates, Dust & Grooves stands as a testament to the enduring allure of vinyl and the communities that have formed around it.
“Dust & Grooves Volume 2 represents a new chapter in my journey as both a vinyl lover and storyteller, pushing beyond the visual beauty of collections to uncover the deeper narratives that shape the global vinyl community today,” Paz tells Rock & Roll Globe. “This installment highlights the passion and dedication of collectors, including many trailblazing women whose contributions have been historically overlooked. It’s been especially important to me to feature these voices, ensuring that their stories, from crate-digging adventures to uncovering obscure genres, are given the recognition they deserve in reshaping the landscape of vinyl culture.”

Further Adventures features over 150 record collectors, including:
