Paul McCartney had quite an amazing few days.

First, he plays a mini-Macca mixtape on the season finale of Saturday Night Live (complete with host Will Ferrell on cowbell for a rousing version of “Help!” plus that super sentimental spin through “Band on the Run”).

Then he closes out the very last  to be filmed at the very place The Beatles debuted on American television — The Ed Sullivan Theater — with a rousing and emotional version of the Sgt. Pepper staple “Hello Goodbye.”

Now, the soon-to-be 84-year-old will be premiering a new special about his great new album, The Boys of Dungeon Lane, on Memorial Day Monday, May 25.

Streaming exclusively on Amazon Live and in the Amazon Music app starting at 8 a.m. EST, the broadcast will feature McCartney in conversation with Irish actor Paul Mescal, who will star as McCartney in Sam Mendes’ forthcoming biopics The Beatles: A Four-Film Cinematic Event. The conversation finds the two Pauls exploring the memories, relationships, events, and stories that inform McCartney’s forthcoming album.

“It was one of the greatest personal and professional privileges of my life to sit down with Paul,” Mescal said. “To hear the stories behind The Boys of Dungeon Lane. To hear about his creative process. It’s a day I’ll never forget.”

Over the course of the conversation, Dungeon Lane tracks “Down South,” “Home to Us,” “Lost Horizon,” “Salesman Saint” and “Days We Left Behind” are brought to life via never-before-heard revelations about McCartney’s songwriting, early memories of his parents and bandmates and more.

The Boys of Dungeon Lane comes out May 29.
