LISTEN: New Jersey’s Eric Dash Shares “The Light Show”
Debut album, Bystander, currently in the works
New Jersey’s own Eric Dash has a great new single out today called “The Light Show.”
It’s a hopeful, mid-tempo rocker in the spirit of Train and Jason Mraz that finds the songwriter and producer coming to grips with his own theological relationship with religion.
“I’ve had an interesting relationship with God,” he tells Rock & Roll Globe. “It goes between being extremely grateful to being so confused and disoriented that I find myself screaming at the sky. It’s one hell of a dynamic. I wanted to write about that relationship. I wrote about it all over this album. ‘The Light Show’ is God himself in many ways, or the light that illuminates your path to where you want to be. It’s a big and cozy blanket that reminds you that you can turn your pain into strength and it’s not over until it’s over.”
Dash’s first full length album, Bystander, is still under construction and will be available in the coming months, along with a new pop project called LOLA, named in honor of his beloved dog.
