British platinum pop rockers Coldplay have announced the existence of a new album called Moon Music that comes out on October 4th via Parlophone/Atlantic Records.

It’s the band’s 10th LP, and finds them once again working with Swedish super producer Max Martin (Backstreet Boys, Britney Spears, NSYNC) across these 10 new tracks. The first single from Moon Music, entitled “feelslikeimfallinginlove,” will be released this Friday, June 21st, which also marks the first day of summer. The band debuted the song during their concert in Budapest last night.

The remainder of the tracklist has yet to be made public, though information on the album’s eco-friendly packaging has been made available. Keeping in tandem with their sustainability efforts while on the road, the band has taken similar credence to the physical release of Moon Music. It will be issued as a 140g EcoRecord LP, the first album issued in the new format, with each copy made from nine recycled plastic bottles. Moon Music will also be the first album released as an EcoCD, which is created from 90% recycled polycarbonate.

Coldplay also collaborated with The Ocean Cleanup to offer an additional physical format of Moon Music, the Notebook Edition EcoRecord LP, which “comprises 70% river plastic, intercepted by The Ocean Cleanup from the Rio Las Vacas, Guatemala, and prevented from reaching the Gulf of Honduras and the Atlantic Ocean.”
